Penlee Bowling Club
The easiest way to get to play bowls at Penlee is to become a member of the club. You can dowload an application form from the 'Links' page. The completed form must be signed by a proposer and seconder who are members of the club. Send your completed form to the secretary or drop it in to the club. If you have not played before, the club runs "taster sessions", a 'try before you buy' scheme, at the beginning and end of each season. Details are advertised locally at the appropriate time or you can contact the secretary for information. Come on - give it a go.  You know you want to!!
If you are a visitor to West Cornwall from another county (or country), and are a playing member of an affiliated bowls club in your home area, you would be very welcome to play bowls at Penlee, if there is a rink free. We would ask you to sign the visitors book and pay a nominal green free. Mats and a jack can be borrowed, at the club's discretion, but you would have to provide your own 'woods' and wear flat-soled shoes.  The same conditions would apply to playing members of another club within Cornwall, again at the club's discretion. If your home club are thinking of organising a tour of Cornwall and would like to arrange a friendly match with us contact the fixture secretary at least four months before the proposed tour.
